Sometimes I sit at my desk, surrounded by pastel pens, sticker sheets covered in smiling unicorns, and notebooks that look like they belong in a dream world… and I wonder if someone out there would think it’s a little silly. π
But honestly? I donβt care. π
Thereβs so much heaviness out there β so much news, so much noise, so many reasons to feel anxious and tired and done. π© I see it. I feel it. I’m not tuning it out. I’m just… choosing to protect my happiness. π
I recently got very sick, and let me tell you: burnout, depression, and mental exhaustion are way too easy to fall into when you let the world in for too long without a break.
I canβt fix everything thatβs wrong with the world. (Wouldnβt it be amazing if we could? β¨)
But I can choose where I put my energy. And I choose to pour it into things that make me smile.
Yes β Iβm a grown woman.
I pay bills, file taxes, show up to work. I do all the serious, responsible things. But the sight of a pink notepad with a smiling bunny or a sticker sheet full of tiny rainbow unicorns still makes my heart do a happy little dance. π¦
Maybe your happiness looks different.
Maybe you love sleek black journals, vintage fountain pens, or bullet journals so perfect they belong in an art gallery. π¨π
Guess what? It all counts. π
The world is already heavy β you donβt have to earn your joy by being serious all the time.
You donβt have to pick βgrown-upβ hobbies to prove anything to anyone. π
ββοΈπ«

If a pastel frog sticky note πΈ makes you grin after a long day β thatβs enough.
If a glittery pen makes your to-do list a little more exciting β thatβs enough.
If collecting way too many washi tapes brings you joy for no βproductiveβ reason at all β well, thatβs more than enough. ποΈ
β¨ Protect your happiness. β¨
Choose your little joys. Choose the heart-lifting moments. Choose your pastel pens, your cozy candles, your bubble tea dates, your Sanrio socks. π§¦π
Choose you. π
π¬ Whatβs your version of a pastel pen and smiling unicorn? Iβd love to know what little thing brings you joy.
