π Miss-Stickers just turned ONE! π
Can you believe it? One whole year of posts, pictures, washi tape ramblings, sticker swoons, and stationery goodness! β¨
When I started this blog, I had no idea where it would take me. I just knew I wanted to share my love of all things cute, paper-y, pastel, and fun. Now, 12 months later, Iβve learned so much β not just about blogging, but about myself too.
So today, Iβm celebrating this little milestone with 5 simple (but super real!) lessons Iβve learned from my first year of blogging π
- Blogging Is a Slow and Steady Kind of Game π’
- Planning Ahead = Peace of Mind ποΈ
- Respect Your Energy Levels β¨
- Love Your Topic or Lose Your Spark π
- Donβt Obsess Over Stats (Especially in the Beginning) πβ‘π
- Bonus Left-Field Lesson: Celebrate Everything (Even Small Wins!) π
- Hereβs to Year Two! π₯
Blogging Is a Slow and Steady Kind of Game π’
And I mean real slow. Like, the-turtle-AND-the-hare-would-finish-before-me kind of slow. π
I used to think that if I wrote a cute post and shared it on social media, people would magically find it. (Spoiler alert: nope, they donβt.)
But Iβve learned that blogging is like growing a little garden β it takes time, gentle watering, and a loooot of patience and determination. Sometimes it looks like nothing is happeningβ¦ until one day, a tiny sprout peeks out of the soil. π±β¨
Consistency doesnβt have to mean posting every week β it just means showing up again and again in a way that fits your own rhythm.
Trust me: it really does add up over time.
Planning Ahead = Peace of Mind ποΈ
Life happens. Itβs not always something we can control β but it is something we can plan around (a little).
I love writing when Iβm in the mood, but that doesnβt always mean I have tons of time to figure out what to write about. Thatβs why Iβve learned how magical it is to have a plan. Even just a tiny content calendar or a list of ideas takes the stress off.
And hereβs my new favorite trick:
π Always have one full blog post ready ahead of time.
This post? I wrote it last week! That means this week, I could focus on next weekβs post without pressure.
If something unexpected happens β like getting sick β I know my blog wonβt go hungry.
No more scrambling last-minute! π
(And really, I could teach classes on last-minute scrambling π
)

Respect Your Energy Levels β¨
This is a big one:
Just because I want to do all the thingsβ¦ doesnβt mean I can. And thatβs totally okay.
Getting sick last year was a big reminder of how important it is to check in with myself β to pause, reassess, and prioritize. π
(You might notice a shift in my posting rhythm because of that… So hey, I do practice what I preach! Just… with a slight delay. π
)
And I think yes, I probably will get around to doing it all β but not all at once! So I ask myself:
β‘οΈ What needs to be done first?
Some weeks, I have the energy for fancy posts, big hauls, and lots of pictures. And other weeks? Just uploading one small post feels like a win.
Iβve learned to let my blog fit around my life β not the other way around. πΈ
Love Your Topic or Lose Your Spark π
If I wasnβt absolutely obsessed with stationery, I probably wouldβve quit by now.
Honestly β this is tough! There are days I want to give up. Days when I get zero comments, zero likes, and zero views. It feels pointless.
But thenβ¦ I see a new roll of washi. Or an adorable Cinnamoroll sticker. And I remember why I started. πβ¨
Writing about something you genuinely love makes everything easier. It keeps the spark alive. It makes your posts more fun to write, and it makes your voice shine through. (Plus: unlimited gushing. Hello, sticker hauls.)

Donβt Obsess Over Stats (Especially in the Beginning) πβ‘π
In the beginning, I checked my stats way too often. Likeβ¦ multiple times a day. π¬
I thought it would motivate me β that seeing numbers go up would feel like a little reward.
Spoiler: it didnβt.
Instead of celebrating that I got two views, Iβd spiral because βno oneβ liked my latest post. Or Iβd stress over mysteries like:
β βWhy is this printable being downloadedβ¦ but the post hosting the link to it says zero views?β
(Seriously β still a mystery. If you know the answer, please tell me π)
But hereβs the truth: early blog stats are weird.
Theyβre not always accurate. They donβt tell the whole story. And they definitely donβt measure how proud you should be.
What matters more is:
π Am I having fun?
ποΈ Am I proud of what Iβm sharing?
π± Am I slowly building something I love?
If yes β the stats can wait. π
Bonus Left-Field Lesson: Celebrate Everything (Even Small Wins!) π
Seriously β celebrate everything! I did. I celebrated:
β¨ My first real comment (from an actual human!)
β¨ My first click from Pinterest
β¨ The day I figured out how to make evenly-spaced rows in Canva π
β¨ Every single little step forward
Doesn’t have to be a full blown block party. It can be as simple as a glass of your favorite drink, a bubble bath with soft music, or bingeing that series you love (while eating chocolate β because everything is a celebration when chocolateβs involved! π«)
Celebrating the small stuff has made this whole journey so much more fun. So dance, laugh, shout βWoohoo!β β even if youβre in a crowded cafΓ© (as long as you donβt mind the looks π ) β and celebrate every step. β¨

Hereβs to Year Two! π₯
Running this blog has been one of the happiest projects Iβve ever started, and Iβm so excited for everything thatβs still to come. More printables, more sticker hauls, more stationery nonsenseβ¦ and maybe a few surprises too. π
So whether youβve been here since the very first washi rollβ¦ or you just found me last week β thank you. Iβm so happy youβre here π
This past year was all about finding my voice, discovering what makes my heart happy, and building this cozy little corner of the internet.
But guess what? Iβm only just getting started.
Year Two already has:
π New surprises to download
π¨ A creative project Iβve been dreaming about for months
π And a whole new world I canβt wait to share with you…
(Hint: itβs full of cute characters and a little mystery π)
So if you’re into stationery, silliness, and soft cozy vibes β stick around.
It’s going to be so much fun.
