🎃 3 Easy Ways to Halloween-ify Your Planner Spread (No Stickers Needed!)

October is one of my favorite months to decorate my planner — there’s just something about pumpkins, cozy candles, and spooky vibes that makes planning extra fun! 👻

But what if you don’t have any Halloween stickers or themed stationery on hand? Don’t worry — you can still make your spreads feel perfectly spooky with just a few simple touches.

Here are three easy (and fun!) ways to give your planner a Halloween makeover — no special supplies required! ✨

🎨 Play With Halloween Colors

In design, colors are where every mood starts. Even a small palette change can make your spread feel seasonal!

Swap your usual tones for Halloween-inspired hues like black, orange, purple, and a touch of green. 🧡💜💚

You can use markers, highlighters, washi tape, or even color-coded boxes and banners if you have them.

🎃 Palette ideas:

Classic: black, orange, white
Cute spooky: lavender, pastel orange, mint
Fancy: plum, forest green, gold accents
Gothic: black, gray, red or purple

✍️ Add Some Spooky Calligraphy

A change in lettering can completely shift your spread’s look! Try using brush pens or black fineliners to write your headers in a spooky style — think dripping letters, jagged edges, or elegant gothic script. 🕯️

💉 Tip: Write any heading in red and add a dripping effect for an instant spooky touch!

🖋️ Add Quick Halloween Doodles

If you like drawing, doodles are the fastest way to make any spread festive.
Try tiny ghosts in the margins, pumpkins beside your headers, bats near your dates, or cobwebs in empty corners. 🎃👻🕸️

Draw an upright oval, then add half-ovals on each side. Add an upside-down twisted triangle for the stem, and you’re done!
Pick a corner and draw lines away from it. Then, connect those lines with small arches. Repeat for each of the cobweb’s “row”. Add a small spider for finishing touch.

🕯️ No drawing skills? Use simple shapes — ovals for pumpkins, circles with zigzag lines for bats — they’ll still look adorable!
