Winter is definitely coming β honestly, in Montreal it feels like itβs already here βοΈπ Temperatures below zero, a fresh layer of snow, and that whole βletβs stay inside foreverβ mood? Check. β
Every year, I notice the same thing: the colder it gets, the more time I spend indoorsβ¦ especially in my home office. π₯° Which would be perfect and cozy β except this was a busy year full of errands, family visits, events, and (letβs be honest) plenty of new stationery that I absolutely had to adoptβ¦ but hadnβt had time to put away neatly. π
Now that Iβm getting ready to cocoon up for the next 4β6 months, I took one look at my desk and realized:
π Oh no. This space needs help.
But hereβs the thing:
Even though I like to tidy up and declutter my space, I hate to see my former things going to waste. I don’t like to throw away things, of course, but even giving them away to second hand shops is hard. I like to see the joy on people’s face when I give them something…or at least know of their joy when they receive it.
So I asked myself:
Isnβt there a fun, kind way to reset my space for the new yearβ¦
β¦without the stress of tossing things out?
β¦while actually enjoying my stationery?
β¦maybe even connecting with other stationery lovers?
π‘ Turns out there is! And itβs called the BFF Sticker Club πβ¨

π What is the BFF Sticker Club?

The BFF Sticker Club was founded in 2021 by Annie Simkin and Laura Wonsik β two childhood best friends who wanted a fun hobby and a loving community. And they found both through stationeryβ¦ specifically, stickers! β¨π
Since then, the club has grown into a vibrant community. Theyβre active on Instagram πΈ, host weekly Lives with check-ins, chats, and of course, lots of sticker talk.
But thatβs not all β they also have:
- A merch shop ποΈ
- An Etsy shop
- Camp BFF, a summer-camp-inspired sticker retreat βοΈπ¨
- Weekly sticker challenges on their Instagram to inspire you to use your stickers πβ¨
And today, weβre here for their Sticker Bestie Program! ππ
π€ What is the Sticker Bestie Program?

Put simply, the Sticker Bestie Program is a monthly sign-up that pairs you with another sticker lover to exchange 3β5 new sheets of stickers.
Itβs a one-month commitment β you renew each month only if you want to continue. And each month, youβre paired with a new bestie, so you get to meet and exchange with someone different every time! π
Hereβs how it works:
1οΈβ£ Sign-ups open the last weekend of each month.
2οΈβ£ The following week, the BFF Sticker Club posts the pairing list on Instagram so you can find your new bestie.
3οΈβ£ Chat a little with them about the type and style of stickers you both like, exchange addresses.
4οΈβ£ Find 3-5 sticker sheets for them that are new (meaning there are no sticker missing on them) and send your stickers within a couple of weeks. π
5οΈβ£ Repeat if you want and whenever you want!
So, not only do you receive happy mail, but you also get to dig through your stash and send some joy to someone else! πβ¨
I know it may not be the best way to declutter because the amount of stuff doesn’t really go diminishing, but it can help realign your stash
β¨ Why It Makes Sense for My New Year Reset
If I had to pick a word for 2026, it would be simplicity πΏ β a focus on clearing out overwhelm and making life feel lighter.
In my stationery world, that means actually going through my βIβll clean this up laterβ drawer π¦, sorting the sticker sheets I want to keep, and creating a special box for the ones that will become part of my Sticker Bestie exchanges πβ¨
Throughout the year, I get a lot of sticker subscriptions, and while I love most of what arrives, some sheets just donβt match my style or spark joy π . Instead of letting them sit unused, the Sticker Bestie Program gives them a new home β and a chance to make someone else happy! π
π My First Sticker Bestie Experience
When I first signed up for the Sticker Bestie Program, I was a mix of excited and nervous π π. Scrolling through the pairing list and seeing the name of my first sticker bestie felt like being matched for a tiny stationery adventure β and I couldnβt wait to start!
I reached out to my new bestie, who happened to live under the bright sun of Texas βοΈ, and we chatted about the kinds of stickers we liked. I was a little worried that she might prefer themes or styles that werenβt in my stash, but it turned out to be a perfect alignment! β¨

I dug through my collection and carefully picked 3β5 sheets that I thought she would love π. It felt so good to actually use some of my sheets instead of letting them sit forgotten in my drawer.
Bonus! My bestie had a soft spot for Keroppi, and since Iβve been a subscriber to the Pipsticks x Hello Kitty happy mail for months, I was able to include an extra sheet or two that were Keroppi-centric! πΈπ
I wasnβt worried that she hadnβt shipped anything since she had sent a picture of the envelope with my name and address on it β but thanks to the Canada Post strike βοΈ, it took quite a while to reach me!
And then it finally came: my first Sticker Bestie envelope! π¬π Inside were adorable sheets I hadnβt seen before β pastel, playful, and perfectly suited for my style β she’d even included sheets from Hubman & Chubgirl and Wonton A Million, brands I already knew and loved! She also allowed me to discover new shops and a new favourite artist, and sent a few little surprises like washi samples and a kind note that warmed my heart. πβ¨

It was such a small, simple exchange, but it gave me a fresh perspective on my sticker stash. I realized I didnβt need to keep everything for myself to enjoy it β sharing can be just as joyful. And honestly, it felt like a tiny reset for my stationery corner, which is exactly the mindset I want to carry into 2026 π
βοΈ Final Thoughts: A Soft Start to 2026
As winter settles in and the world outside slows down, Iβm trying to do the same by finding gentler ways of moving through my home, my hobbies, and my creative routine. β¨
Joining the BFF Sticker Club felt like a tiny act of intentional softness. It helped me sort through my stash, let go of sheets that no longer spark joy, and share a little stationery happiness with someone who loves stickers just as much as I do. I donβt really think of it as decluttering β more like redistributing joy. π
And honestly? The whole experience nudged me into a sweet, cozy community mood. A little organizing here, a little happy mail there, a little rediscovery of the stickers I actually love usingβ¦ exactly the kind of gentle reset I want for 2026. β¨
π Freebie!
The BFF Sticker Club sign-up reopens every month, and each time you join, youβre paired with a brand-new bestie. But sometimesβ¦ you meet someone you really click with β someone youβd love to exchange happy mail with again and again. π
Thatβs exactly why I created my Pen Pal Profile Page!

You can download it for free on my Ko-fi page (no sign-in needed!).
Itβs just a tiny helper, but it makes keeping track of your favorite new stationery friends so much easier β especially as your circle of sticker besties grows. π
Whether you join the BFF Sticker Club or simply spend a few minutes tidying a cozy corner of your desk, I hope you treat yourself gently this season. And if you do end up joining the sticker exchangeβ¦ let me know in the comments or send me an email at hello[at]miss-stickers.com! Iβd love to see what you send and receive. πβ¨
And who knowsβ¦ maybe one day weβll be paired up together! π
