Winter is definitely coming โ honestly, in Montreal it feels like itโs already here โ๏ธ๐ Temperatures below zero, a fresh layer of snow, and that whole โletโs stay inside foreverโ mood? Check. โ
Every year, I notice the same thing: the colder it gets, the more time I spend indoorsโฆ especially in my home office. ๐ฅฐ Which would be perfect and cozy โ except this was a busy year full of errands, family visits, events, and (letโs be honest) plenty of new stationery that I absolutely had to adoptโฆ but hadnโt had time to put away neatly. ๐
Now that Iโm getting ready to cocoon up for the next 4โ6 months, I took one look at my desk and realized:
๐ Oh no. This space needs help.
But hereโs the thing:
Even though I like to tidy up and declutter my space, I hate to see my former things going to waste. I don’t like to throw away things, of course, but even giving them away to second hand shops is hard. I like to see the joy on people’s face when I give them something…or at least know of their joy when they receive it.
So I asked myself:
Isnโt there a fun, kind way to reset my space for the new yearโฆ
โฆwithout the stress of tossing things out?
โฆwhile actually enjoying my stationery?
โฆmaybe even connecting with other stationery lovers?
๐ก Turns out there is! And itโs called the BFF Sticker Club ๐โจ

๐ What is the BFF Sticker Club?

The BFF Sticker Club was founded in 2021 by Annie Simkin and Laura Wonsik โ two childhood best friends who wanted a fun hobby and a loving community. And they found both through stationeryโฆ specifically, stickers! โจ๐
Since then, the club has grown into a vibrant community. Theyโre active on Instagram ๐ธ, host weekly Lives with check-ins, chats, and of course, lots of sticker talk.
But thatโs not all โ they also have:
- A merch shop ๐๏ธ
- An Etsy shop
- Camp BFF, a summer-camp-inspired sticker retreat โ๏ธ๐จ
- Weekly sticker challenges on their Instagram to inspire you to use your stickers ๐โจ
And today, weโre here for their Sticker Bestie Program! ๐๐
๐ค What is the Sticker Bestie Program?

Put simply, the Sticker Bestie Program is a monthly sign-up that pairs you with another sticker lover to exchange 3โ5 new sheets of stickers.
Itโs a one-month commitment โ you renew each month only if you want to continue. And each month, youโre paired with a new bestie, so you get to meet and exchange with someone different every time! ๐
Hereโs how it works:
1๏ธโฃ Sign-ups open the last weekend of each month.
2๏ธโฃ The following week, the BFF Sticker Club posts the pairing list on Instagram so you can find your new bestie.
3๏ธโฃ Chat a little with them about the type and style of stickers you both like, exchange addresses.
4๏ธโฃ Find 3-5 sticker sheets for them that are new (meaning there are no sticker missing on them) and send your stickers within a couple of weeks. ๐
5๏ธโฃ Repeat if you want and whenever you want!
So, not only do you receive happy mail, but you also get to dig through your stash and send some joy to someone else! ๐โจ
I know it may not be the best way to declutter because the amount of stuff doesn’t really go diminishing, but it can help realign your stash
โจ Why It Makes Sense for My New Year Reset
If I had to pick a word for 2026, it would be simplicity ๐ฟ โ a focus on clearing out overwhelm and making life feel lighter.
In my stationery world, that means actually going through my โIโll clean this up laterโ drawer ๐ฆ, sorting the sticker sheets I want to keep, and creating a special box for the ones that will become part of my Sticker Bestie exchanges ๐โจ
Throughout the year, I get a lot of sticker subscriptions, and while I love most of what arrives, some sheets just donโt match my style or spark joy ๐ . Instead of letting them sit unused, the Sticker Bestie Program gives them a new home โ and a chance to make someone else happy! ๐
๐ My First Sticker Bestie Experience
When I first signed up for the Sticker Bestie Program, I was a mix of excited and nervous ๐ ๐. Scrolling through the pairing list and seeing the name of my first sticker bestie felt like being matched for a tiny stationery adventure โ and I couldnโt wait to start!
I reached out to my new bestie, who happened to live under the bright sun of Texas โ๏ธ, and we chatted about the kinds of stickers we liked. I was a little worried that she might prefer themes or styles that werenโt in my stash, but it turned out to be a perfect alignment! โจ

I dug through my collection and carefully picked 3โ5 sheets that I thought she would love ๐. It felt so good to actually use some of my sheets instead of letting them sit forgotten in my drawer.
Bonus! My bestie had a soft spot for Keroppi, and since Iโve been a subscriber to the Pipsticks x Hello Kitty happy mail for months, I was able to include an extra sheet or two that were Keroppi-centric! ๐ธ๐
I wasnโt worried that she hadnโt shipped anything since she had sent a picture of the envelope with my name and address on it โ but thanks to the Canada Post strike โ๏ธ, it took quite a while to reach me!
And then it finally came: my first Sticker Bestie envelope! ๐ฌ๐ Inside were adorable sheets I hadnโt seen before โ pastel, playful, and perfectly suited for my style โ she’d even included sheets from Hubman & Chubgirl and Wonton A Million, brands I already knew and loved! She also allowed me to discover new shops and a new favourite artist, and sent a few little surprises like washi samples and a kind note that warmed my heart. ๐โจ

It was such a small, simple exchange, but it gave me a fresh perspective on my sticker stash. I realized I didnโt need to keep everything for myself to enjoy it โ sharing can be just as joyful. And honestly, it felt like a tiny reset for my stationery corner, which is exactly the mindset I want to carry into 2026 ๐
โ๏ธ Final Thoughts: A Soft Start to 2026
As winter settles in and the world outside slows down, Iโm trying to do the same by finding gentler ways of moving through my home, my hobbies, and my creative routine. โจ
Joining the BFF Sticker Club felt like a tiny act of intentional softness. It helped me sort through my stash, let go of sheets that no longer spark joy, and share a little stationery happiness with someone who loves stickers just as much as I do. I donโt really think of it as decluttering โ more like redistributing joy. ๐
And honestly? The whole experience nudged me into a sweet, cozy community mood. A little organizing here, a little happy mail there, a little rediscovery of the stickers I actually love usingโฆ exactly the kind of gentle reset I want for 2026. โจ
๐ Freebie!
The BFF Sticker Club sign-up reopens every month, and each time you join, youโre paired with a brand-new bestie. But sometimesโฆ you meet someone you really click with โ someone youโd love to exchange happy mail with again and again. ๐
Thatโs exactly why I created my Pen Pal Profile Page!

You can download it for free on my Ko-fi page (no sign-in needed!).
Itโs just a tiny helper, but it makes keeping track of your favorite new stationery friends so much easier โ especially as your circle of sticker besties grows. ๐
Whether you join the BFF Sticker Club or simply spend a few minutes tidying a cozy corner of your desk, I hope you treat yourself gently this season. And if you do end up joining the sticker exchangeโฆ let me know in the comments or send me an email at hello[at]miss-stickers.com! Iโd love to see what you send and receive. ๐โจ
And who knowsโฆ maybe one day weโll be paired up together! ๐
