It had been a while since I last shopped at The Washi Tape Shop, but when an email featuring a new collection inspired by soft, rainy days landed in my inbox, I knew I had to pop over and “just have a look.” (We all know how that usually ends. ๐)
Once there, I checked the New Releases section, found the bundle I was looking for… and another bundle I fell in love with too. ๐คฆ
So in this post, you’ll find two pre-cut tape bundles. They are wildly different in style, material, and theme, which gives a pretty good idea of the variety available at WTS. It’s a very small haul, but it covers quite a range. Let’s take a look together! โจ

About The Washi Tape Shop
For years, I have been following The Washi Tape Shop, a Canadian company based in Toronto that now “proudly operates its own dedicated manufacturing and fulfillment center located in Shenzhen, China.”
The quality of their products and the uniqueness of their designs have earned them a special place in my collection, along with the collections of many stationery lovers around the world. ๐
In recent years, however, The Washi Tape Shop has expanded beyond the product that made its name so well known. While washi tape remains at the heart of the brand, the shop now offers pre-cut stickers, PET tape, stamps, journals, acrylic clips, and more.
One very important thing to know about WTS: the products are not permanent. Everything you see on the website is likely to disappear eventually. Sometimes it takes months, sometimes only weeks, so it pays to check in regularly if there’s something you’ve been eyeing. ๐
In fact, while preparing this post, I discovered that the Midnight Monster Bundle is no longer available on the WTS website. I’m glad I picked it up when I did because it’s such a fun Halloween set! ๐๐ป
What Are Pre-Cut Tapes?
If I were to give a completely unbiased description, I’d say they’re one of the greatest inventions in the stationery world: stickers and washi tape rolled into one! ๐ They’re basically stickers pretending to be washi tapeโฆ and we love them for it. ๐
Each design on the roll, whether printed on washi or PET material, is kiss-cut. That means you can simply peel off individual stickers and use them in your journal, planner, scrapbook, happy mail, or wherever inspiration strikes.
But the feature I love most is the sheer number of stickers you get. As someone who always hesitates to use favorite stickers because I don’t want to run out, pre-cut tapes are wonderfully reassuring. Each roll is five meters long, which means you’ll get plenty of repeats of your favorite designs.
There are enough stickers here to decorate countless pages… and maybe even share a few with friends. โจ

Morning Dew Bundle (Washi Paper)

- Contains: Pre-cut Morning Drizzle Wide Tape and Pre-Cut Morning Dew Wide Tape
- Material: 100% recyclable washi tape
- Roll Width: 6.5 centimeters
- Roll Length: 5 meters
- Design Loop: 100 centimeters
First Impressions
I was immediately drawn to the Morning Dew Bundle because of its soft watercolor artwork featuring peaceful moments in the rain. ๐ง๏ธ
There’s something calming about rainy days: the discreet smell of grass and dirt, the rain sounding like thousands of hands clapping, the wind cool and wet. These stickers capture that feeling beautifully. Looking through the roll feels a little like flipping through a collection of quiet spring mornings filled with fresh air, gentle showers, and new beginnings.
Washi Material
I’ve always loved washi material for its softness and its ability to blend seamlessly into almost any page, journal spread, or background.
It’s also very easy to find the edges of the stickers and peel them from the roll, which is always a plus.
The only downside is its transparency. While it helps the stickers blend naturally into a page, it also means they won’t completely cover what’s underneath. Grid patterns, dark backgrounds, and other details may still show through.
Favorite Stickers
Here are just a few of my favorite designs from these rolls. ๐ฟโ
Midnight Monsters Bundle (PET)

- Contains: (I forgot…)
- Material: PET tape
- Roll Width: 6 centimeters
- Roll Length: 5 meters (probably)
- Design Loop: 130 centimeters
First Impressions
If you’ve been around here for a while, you already know that I absolutely love Halloween. ๐
And since it’s summer, it’s the perfect time for a Summerween spread… right?
These adorable little monsters immediately caught my eye because 1) they’re ridiculously cute and 2) look at all that pink! ๐ I simply had to adopt them.
And I’m especially glad I did since neither the bundle nor the individual rolls appear to be available on the WTS website anymore. ๐ข
PET Material
PET stands for polyethylene terephthalate… which is why everyone calls it “PET tape.” ๐
Compared to washi, PET has a much sturdier and almost plastic-y feel, and the colors appear far more vibrant and saturated.
The material also has a glossy finish, which makes illustrations really pop. The trade-off is that fingerprints can occasionally show up, and photographing glossy stickers can sometimes be a bit trickier. Also, I always end up cursing at least once when trying to get the edge of a PET sticker to peel it off the roll.
Still, if you love bright colors and crisp details, PET tape is fantastic. โจ
Favorite Designs
Here are just a few of my favorite little monsters from the rolls. ๐ป๐๐
Washi vs PET
So which material is better?
It depends entirely on what you’re looking for.
| Washi Paper | PET |
|---|---|
| Softer appearance | Sharper colors |
| Matte finish | Glossy finish |
| Blends into paper | Stands out more |
| Great for journal-style look | Excellent for layering |

The good news? You can totally pick! ๐
The Washi Tape Shop offers both material options for most of its designs, which allows you to choose whichever you feel best complements the artwork.
For example, I tend to prefer washi for soft watercolor illustrations and PET for bright, colorful, high-energy designs.
Final Thoughts
I think The Washi Tape Shop is going to remain part of my stationery rotation for a long time.
In fact, I’ve already got my eye on these little beauties for my next order:
- Pre-Cut Misty Breeze Bundle
- Pre-Cut Kitty Conga Bundle
- Country Azure Wide Tape
- Pre-Cut Whisker Connection Wide Tape
- Pre-Cut Squeaky Mischief Wide Tape
- Panda Pilgrimage Washi Tape Sticker Set
- Mediterranean Tiles Wide Tape
- Scribble Saga PET Tape
- and I need more washi containers… ๐
Even though this haul only contained four rolls, opening the package felt a bit like discovering a tiny sticker library. ๐โจ
Each roll holds dozens of little illustrations waiting to find their way into journals, envelopes, happy mail, and future craft projects.
I’ve already broken into the Morning Dew Bundle for a journaling spread, so next up is a Summerween spread… and possibly another order. ๐๐
