A couple of weekends ago, I attended Scriven 2026 โ a convention dedicated mostly to fountain pens and ink, but which has broadened its spectrum in the past few years to include stationery like notebooks, pencil cases, and yesโฆ stickers! โ๏ธ๐
As someone who loves collecting and using stationery, this was an event I had been looking forward to since attending last yearโs edition. Walking into the convention hall felt a little like stepping into a treasure cave filled with loot so beautiful it would impress even the most picky pirate (if they had taste, of course ๐).
So come with me, and letโs take a look at Scriven 2026โฆ and the loot I brought home!
(Note: All artists and shops featured below are based in Canada.)

๐ First Impressions

One of the things that struck me immediately was the atmosphere. Everywhere I looked, people were chatting about notebooks, comparing favourite supplies, and browsing vendor tables filled with unique products.
It was exciting to see so many small businesses and artists gathered in one place. Online shopping is incredibly convenient, but thereโs something special about seeing products in person and talking directly with the people who create them. ๐ฌ
There truly is something for every taste and every budget at Scriven.
While sticker sheets and similar products remain within the price range weโre accustomed to seeing from indie vendors, fountain pens ranged from around $20 to $400. There is no judgment, and no one is left out at Scriven โ whether youโre just starting your stationery journey or deep into it already. ๐
๐The Venue
Just like last year, Scriven was hosted at the Centre St-Jax on Ste. Catherine West in the heart of Montreal โ but this year, it moved from the smaller convention hall into the larger space, inside the church itself.

Thereโs something undeniably enveloping about walking into a church. Perhaps itโs the wooden-paneled walls, the soft, dim lighting, or the impossibly high ceilings that inspire awe. Thereโs always an air of quiet reverence in spaces like this.
Wellโฆ during Scriven, that respectful silence was replaced by the excited buzzing of hundreds of stationery enthusiasts moving from table to table, meeting artists and creators, and carefully selecting the next object of their affection. ๐คฉ
๐๏ธ Favorite Vendors and Finds
Of course, I couldnโt leave empty-handed. There were last yearโs favourite vendors that I was happy to see again (and who even recognized me as โMiss Stickersโ ๐), as well as new discoveries I was excited to add to my favourites list.
Here are the stops I made โ and the goodies I decided to bring home.
Scriven ๐
Scriven is always my first stop, since thatโs where you can get the lay of the land (aka grab a map ๐). Thereโs also a new ink released every year in honour of the convention, so I had to pick it up once again.

Circumflux Stationery ๐ฆ

I met these folks last year at Scriven 2025, so I was really happy to see them return in this yearโs vendor list. After the Scriven table, they were my very first stop โ and Iโm sure you can guess why ๐
I picked up two pen-holder crabs, a small metal toolbox, an adorable froggy stamp to add to my collection, and three six-button stamps that I am officially obsessed with. ๐ธโจ
Stack3d ๐ฆ
Next, we stopped by Stack3d, a Toronto-based 3D printing company. My husband picked out some cute stickers for me, along with the most adorable moose pen holder ๐ซ๐
I meanโฆ how cute is that? (And they gave me the mini-moose for free because I couldn’t stop giggling at it.)
Lea Matte Illustration and AM Paper & Art Co. ๐ฑ๐
Next came two incredible artist discoveries: Lea Matte (Lea Matte Illustration) and Adana (AM Paper & Art Co., now Fox & Fable Studio).

At AM Paper & Art Co., the witchy, vintage-inspired vibes are front and centre.
I fully indulged my darker side (the one that reads mysteries and writes ghost stories ๐๐ฏ๏ธ) and brought home beautiful stickers and washi tapes that are going straight into my reading journal.
At Lea Matte Illustrationโs table, I completely fell in love with the adorable โ and sometimes mischievous โ cats.
Her style is stunning (especially her art prints!), and I still giggle every time I look at the tote bag I bought: a jittery little cat under the phrase โStill better than AI art.โ ๐๐ฑ

Fountain PENdulum โ๏ธ
Our final stop was the Fountain PENdulum table (I was actually looking for the Toronto Pen Shoppeโฆ which turned out to be nowhere near where I was ๐).
There, I picked up a few items Iโd been eyeing for a while: Wearingul โSmile Catโ ink swatch cards and a Ferris Wheel Press ink bottle (a glittery one, of course).
I also grabbed a glass ink swatching spoonโฆ which Iโll admit I have absolutely no idea how to use yet, but Iโm willing to learn. Plus, itโs pretty โ and thatโs reason enough. ๐ฅ

โจInspiration for My Own Projects
One of my favourite parts of attending events like Scriven is the inspiration they spark.
Seeing so many artists and shop owners sharing their work, and experiencing that sense of warmth and community, reminded me why I enjoy stationery so much in the first place.
I came home with new ideas, renewed motivation, and plenty of excitement for my own creative projects. ๐จ
In fact, shortly after the convention, I finished creating my first sticker sheets using my own artwork (stay tuned for more details in my next post!). It felt like a fitting follow-up to a weekend spent surrounded by so many talented creators.
๐ญFinal Thoughts
Overall, I had a wonderful time at Scriven 2026.
Whether youโre a planner enthusiast, sticker collector, journal lover, or simply someone who enjoys beautiful stationery, events like this are a fantastic opportunity to discover new shops, meet fellow enthusiasts, and find inspiration.
See you at Scriven 2027? ๐
