🌲 Welcome to the Little Mushroom Forest!
It’s almost fall, and what’s more autumn-y than mushrooms and cute little forest critters? 🍄🌲
I picked the Woodland Mushrooms Box from Hubman & Chubgirl a while ago because I love autumn, but I was looking for something other than the usual orange pumpkins and falling leaves.
This box was perfect, with its deep shades of green, brown, and red. And somehow, I managed to wait a while before opening it…
Until now! 📦👀
A little note before we dive in: the Woodland Mushrooms Box is no longer available in the Hubman & Chubgirl shop. In fact, the entire collection is gone at the moment. But since the shop continues to release themed stationery boxes and collections, and sometimes brings back older themes, I thought it would still be fun to take a peek inside this one!
🌲 A Little About Hubman & Chubgirl
Hubman & Chubgirl is a Canadian stationery brand that has been a favourite in the stationery community ever since its launch in 2018. Their simple lines, bold colours, and cute characters have won over thousands of fans all over the world.
Every single one of their sticker sheets is printed on Scotch 3M paper with a vinyl-like feel to it, so it goes without saying that they’re some of the highest-quality stickers I’ve encountered so far. (Just be careful where you stick them, though, because once they’re applied, they’re almost impossible to remove!)
I’ve bought from them repeatedly over the years, and I haven’t been disappointed by the quality of their items yet!

🍄 The Box
I’m so glad I ordered other stuff along with this, because everything was placed in a bigger shipping box, leaving the Woodland Mushrooms box itself practically untouched.
It’s such a cute, sturdy box that I’m definitely going to keep it and reuse it for storage. 📦✨

🍄 Stickers Galore!
Sooo many stickers!
Seriously, it’s kind of insane. 😂
In a single box, I got 3 sticker sheets, 5 planner sticker sheets, 5 die-cut vinyl stickers, a 6-sheet planner sticker kit, and a 7-sheet variety pack!
The designs do repeat from one type of sheet to another, but honestly, that’s okay. It means I can share some with my friends… and maybe even trade them for themes I don’t have! 👀
🍄 The Washi Tapes
Every washi tape design from Hubman & Chubgirl comes as a pack of two coordinating tapes (one regular and one glittery), and this one was no exception.
H&C’s glittery tapes are often criticized for being thicker and sticking a little less than regular tape. Well, I love H&C’s glittery tapes! My only critic is that usually, the coordinating smaller tape is pretty plain. But not this time!
The smaller coordinating tape has gold foil contours, and I absolutely love that little extra detail. ✨
🍄 The Enamel Pin
It’s so cute and shiny, and it feels thick and sturdy. 🤩✨
Except I’m not a big fan of the black stoppers at the back. I find that they don’t hold heavier pins like this one quite as securely as the old metal pinch-to-release type.
I’d be afraid to lose if it I pinned it to a bag or something…

🍄 The Journal
I am SO in love with this one! 😍
It’s beautiful, it’s useful, and it’s exactly the kind of notebook that makes me want to save it for “something special”…
…and then never actually use it. 😂
And since I’m basically a notebook collector, this was a very dangerous addition to the box.

It’s WAY too difficult to pick a favourite item, so maybe I’ll pick… three?

📓 The Journal
Well, I love the journal for sure. I was actually surprised to find it at the bottom of the box!
Why I love it:
The sheer quality of this notebook is enough to make me love it. The vegan leather cover has crisp colours and a cute design, while the 115 GSM dot-grid paper inside is nice and thick.
Add two ribbon bookmarks, a pen loop, and a back pocket, and you’ve got a notebook that feels incredibly well made.
H&C really does journals beautifully. 💚
🌿 The Variety Sticker Pack
Second, I would probably pick the variety sticker pack, which I’m always delighted to get.
Why I love it:
The value is in the name: variety!
There are so many different sticker sheets, designs, and paper types packed into one little package that you can easily get a whole assortment of stickers without having to choose between a dozen different sheets.
And you know me. More variety = more possibilities. 😂
✨ The Washi Tape Duo
Last but not least is, of course, the washi tape duo.
I mean… just look how pretty they are! 😍
Why I love it:
Beyond the adorableness, I love the colours of both tapes, the uniqueness of every H&C’s glitter tape, and the boldness of the gold foil on the smaller tape.
Together, they feel incredibly rich and special.
So special in fact that I didn’t remember I had already bought them separately despite knowing that they were included in the box. 😅
All that being said, I truly loved everything in this box, and I’m definitely going to use it all!
🛍️ What Can You Get At Hubman & Chubgirl Now?
Sadly, the Woodland Mushrooms Box has now wandered off into the forest and isn’t available anymore. 🍄🌲 But that doesn’t mean you should close the browser and walk away!
Hubman & Chubgirl still has plenty of themed stationery to explore, including other box sets that follow the same general idea.

💭 Final Thoughts
The contents of Hubman & Chubgirl’s boxes tend to follow a similar formula, with the theme and some of the individual items changing from box to box.
And honestly, I think that’s part of the appeal.
You already have an idea of the kind of goodies you’re going to get, but you never quite know how that particular theme is going to come together.
And after seeing the quality and quantity of the items I received in this box, I would definitely be tempted to get another one!
Maybe a Halloween one? 🎃👀
